As an advocate and champion of the Auxiliary Clarinets, including but not limited to Eb, Alto, Basset Horn, Bass, and Contra Clarinets, I’ve made it part of my life’s purpose to reimagine, redefine, and reanimate the education, usage, and commissioning for these instruments. I deeply encourage and implore for new performances and any new works featuring the auxiliary clarinets.
Some composers have loved to write for these in mind in a wide array of ensembles including chamber music, band, orchestra, and solo pieces. Some of my favorite composers include Mozart, Strauss, Mahler, Grainger, Dahl, and even Tichelli.
Check out some pieces I’ve performed with the Auxilary Clarinets in mind.
